DDOC Fall Color Tour

On Saturday, October 7 the Detroit Desmo Owners Club will be hosting a fall color ride along Michigan Avenue into the Irish Hills Area. Our ride destination will be the Artesian Wells Sports Tavern, which is a great biker destination just south of Jackson.

We will go with our normal ride format when we have a destination to the west:
• Ducati Detroit - riders are requested to arrive no later than 9:30 am. A brief rider's meeting will be held with kick stands up at 9:45 am. From Ducati Detroit we'll ride to the west side meeting location at the Tuscan Cafe in Northville to join up with our fellow Desmo Club members.
• Tuscan Cafe in Northville - our west side club members can meet at the Tuscan Cafe located at 150 N. Center Street. Riders are requested to arrive no later than 10:15 am. A brief rider's meeting will be held prior to the arrival of the Ducati Detroit group. Upon their arrival, the combined group will then depart for the ride together. Departure from Northville will be at approximately 10:30 am.

Plan for a route of about 100 miles one way to our lunch destination. We will plan to take a scenic route using Michigan Avenue, and will make a stop or two along the way. The ride will be formally finished after lunch, or you may elect to follow the group back towards Detroit along Michigan Avenue.

We have a couple of new requests for this ride:
As our club membership and event participation continues to grow, we ask that any non-Ducati owners or non-paying members form their own ride group behind the main group. While we certainly welcome all riders, we hope everyone understands that we are striving to provide tangible benefits to all paid club members who seek to be a part of a unique Ducati club and riding experience.

We also ask that you RSVP if you are interested in participating in this event by Friday October 6th to detroitdesmo1@gmail.com. This will allow the ride leaders to safely organize and plan for this event.

After this event, we are planning for one final local group ride to the northern suburbs on a Sunday in late October to a great lunch location. Please stay tuned for those ride details shortly.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at our fall color ride!

After Lunch in Chelsea, the formal ride is over, or follow the ride leader back to Northville along N Territorial Road.

This easy ride will be an opportunity for new club members to meet one another over morning coffee or lunch, and look for more weekend riding routes like this throughout the summer as we get this new club off the ground.  We will try to provide more notice to the events in the future, as the DDOC board continues to plan and organize these events.
